Infusion therapy at home
Patients may require intravenous (IV) therapy for recovery from or management of a variety of conditions. At Infusion, we provide the necessary equipment to allow patients to receive their IV therapy from the comfort of their own home. This eliminates the need for inpatient hospital stays or regular trips to an infusion center. Our team of experienced pharmacists also provides clinical monitoring of drug therapies and works closely with all members of the patient’s care team to ensure the best care possible.
Home IV Therapies
The decision to receive home infusion therapy is made between you and your doctor. There are several factors that must be considered prior to initiation, each of which your care team will discuss in depth with you.
The cost is significantly lower. On average, home therapy costs 60% less than the same course of treatment in the hospital.
Absolutely! Home infusion therapy is a safe and effective alternative to inpatient care. For most individuals, the comfort and convenience of in-home care is preferred to an inpatient stay. Home infusion therapy is convenient, cost-effective, and causes little interruption to your daily activities.
Your home care is as unique as you are. Our clinical team collaborates with your provider, home health nurse, and insurance to create an individualized care plan. Our pharmacists communicate with you to explain the care plan. Prior to each scheduled delivery, one of our pharmacists will reach out to discuss the upcoming delivery and make any necessary changes.
Most insurance companies do cover home infusion therapy. Our office works with your insurance to obtain patient benefit verification and authorization. We bill insurance directly for our services.
