Karen graduated from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing and Drake University with a degree in Nursing. After graduation, she worked at an oncology/medical unit for four years before moving to Wichita, where she worked for a hospital's IV team for eight years. She moved on from the hospital setting to work for a local home health company, where she became the manager of specialty services after six months. In 1995 Karen received a CRNI certification. Before working for Infusion, LLC she also worked as a nurse manager for a national infusion company for 10 years. Karen is a member of the Kansas Home Care Association, Elder Care, CMACK and Intravenous Nurses Society.
